Pass the Texas Journeyman Electrician exam the first time.
Start with a free 25-question practice test scored against the real TDLR blueprint. Then the full course drills the exact articles and calculations you missed, until 70% on both parts is routine.
No account needed. Open book, like the exam. About 25 minutes. Sample questions with answers
- Branch Circuits & Conductors3/3
- Wiring Methods & Materials2/3
- Services & Grounding1/2
- Motors & Generators1/2
- Branch Circuit Calculations0/2
- Service Load Calculations1/2
Two parts. Both must pass.
Since March 2025 PSI splits the TX Journeyman exam into separately timed, separately scored parts. A strong code score can't carry a weak calculations score, so we track them apart from day one.

Built around how the exam actually fails people.
Most candidates don't fail because they can't read the code. They fail because they're slow finding it, and because one dropped step in a load calculation costs the whole question.
Adaptive question bank
Every item is tagged to a blueprint area and a difficulty. Practice leans on what you miss, not on what you already know.
Calculations tutor
Conduit fill, box fill, voltage drop, service loads, motors and OCPD sizing, generated fresh each time. The tutor shows the step you got wrong, not just the answer.
Code-navigation drills
Timed find-the-article drills, because on an open-book exam the clock is the real opponent.
Timed mock exams
Same two parts, same question counts, same time limits as PSI. Both parts scored separately, like the real thing.

Tutor chat that stays in bounds
Ask why an answer is right. It only draws on our explanation library and cites article numbers, never reproduces code text.

Questions
- Which code edition?
- We follow the edition TDLR tests against, currently listed as NEC 2026. Every explanation cites article and section numbers only, so you practice finding them in your own book.
- Are these real exam questions?
- No. Every question is written by us from the published exam content outline. Using real PSI items would be cheating and would get you nowhere on test day.
- Do I need an account to try it?
- No. The diagnostic runs without one. You only create an account (by email link, no password) when you buy.
- Is Electrician Practice Test affiliated with TDLR or PSI?
- No. Electrician Practice Test is an independent study tool and is not endorsed by TDLR, PSI or the NFPA.
